    The change to “This Census Taker” seems trifling however the last few chapters include events, and a simple coded section, that show the importance of that change. While the coded section is thankfully simple to break, the rest of China Miéville’s text works us much harder. It’s difficult to even ask questions at this point without   Washington Post Compelling the classic Mieville themes of power, alienation and politics are never far from the surface, and the tale lingers in the memory.
